" name="description">The healthcare setting is where individuals from the general public, such as patients, go to get various kinds of medical care. A hospital, a long-term care facility such as a nursing home, and skilled nursing facilities such as urgent care centers, physician’s offices, outpatient clinics, blood banks, rehabilitation centers, ambulatory surgical centers, and hospice homes are all examples of settings that fall under the umbrella term “healthcare setting.”
It was determined that an Acute care hospital, a nursing home, and an outpatient clinic would be the best places to implement an EBP and QI project in healthcare. With services like intensive care, the Evelyne Acute Care Hospital can treat up to a hundred critically ill patients at a time. Their website states, “To inspire hope and contribute to health and well-being by providing the best critical care to every patient through healthcare teamwork and research.” The Evelyne Acute Care Hospital is a government-run, for-profit healthcare facility. Acute care is linked to Aetna health insurance and other life insurance providers. The insurance company suggests yet another healthcare facility, a nursing home. Around 150 people aged 60 and up call Hopkins Nursing Home. The nursing home’s purpose is “To provide holistic and high-quality adult care with collaboration with other medical practitioners.” The nursing facility is public and a member of a company. It’s a well-known California nursing facility. I also looked at the outpatient clinic in St. Lucie as a potential location for the EBP QI research. The outpatient clinic has a patient population of 80 people. The aim of the outpatient department is ” To inspire humanity and give high-quality medical treatment and nursing services to all patients (CDC, 2019). ” The outpatient clinic operates independently as a private business. The outpatient clinic is located near California University.
